Whipped Body Butter

It's wonderful to make your own products and experiment so you get a recipe perfectly right for your preferences. Plus, using natural ingredients, you have full control over what you're putting on your skin (your body's biggest organ).
Make this moisturizing and soothing whipped body butter yourself and apply as needed to keep skin nourished and soft.
Experiment with different essential oils you like the smell of or for their topical benefits. If you use Lavender essential oil, this body butter will also be perfect for soothing sun-exposed skin. Or try using Serenity Restful Blend for relaxation before bedtime. (Avoid using any photosensitive citrus oils if you plan to use this body butter and then go out in the sun.)

(Tip: Include kids in the project and it will be super fun like baking but without all the calories.)
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup shea butter
- 1/2 cup sweet almond oil
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon moringa oil*
- 15 drops of essential oil, single or blend (I recommend Lavender or Serenity blend)
Instructions: Use a double boiler and melt the shea butter, then add the sweet almond, coconut, and moringa oils, stirring constantly. Allow to cool in the refrigerator for an hour, then whip with a hand mixer. Add the essential oils and give a final whip with the mixer. Store in a 2 ounce glass jar and use as needed.
*You can buy amazing hand-pressed moringa oil online at www.moringapassion.com from Alicia if you don't know where to find it locally. She even grows her own moringa trees to produce the oils from the pods and make her other products.
